Embrace Your Process (KB)

In the compilation entitled Shaar HaGilgulim (The Gate of Reincarnations), the great Kabbalist Rabbi Isaac Luria (The Ari) explains that when a soul is about to enter this world, it is shown the totality of its evolution throughout all of its prior lifetimes, including the specific corrections it made in its last incarnation. The soul is then given a choice of circumstances (body, environment, family, etc.) to descend into so that it can eventually manifest its total potential. This powerful information can spur us to embrace our spiritual process for what it is: a perfectly tailored plan for our soul’s ultimate correction. Every difficulty we encounter, every obstacle we need to overcome, every relationship we develop with another person, is designed specifically to help us learn the lessons we need to learn so that we can eventually fulfill our mission in this world. It follows, then, that if we truly desire to do what we came here to do, we must no longer dwell on envying the process of others, nor on wishing to escape our own. Everything we need to succeed is within us already. We just need to use the spiritual tools that we have been granted to draw it out.
