Guidance from Eileen Caddy
Watch your reactions to
things, to persons and to situations. Never allow yourself to become 'prickly'
because someone has said or done something, which has gone against the grain
with you and your reaction is to hit back and not to rise above it or turn the
other cheek. So much stress and strain could be avoided when you cease to react
negatively and can even laugh at the situation and see the light side. This is
not easy when you feel you have been slighted or maligned; the little self gets
hurt and huffy and reacts violently. It is usually a great help if you put into
practice that advice of counting ten before doing anything. This will give you
time to weigh up your reactions and do something positive instead of negative.
