Being truly connected on a spiritual level often becomes difficult. Those of us who are perhaps kinder, gentler, more sharing, and more caring than other people can be looked at as naïve or maybe even easy to take advantage of. But I would rather be taken advantage of as a kind, decent, and loving human being than to walk around wary, afraid, and blocked. We all fear death to some extent, but those of us who are most afraid of it are probably those who never truly lived. Indeed, we never know how the soft acts of kindness that we do will eventually play in our lives. |
