Choose Life (KB)

How many of us have gotten into the car and suddenly found ourselves in front of our house, only to realize that we were not fully aware as to how we got there? Most of us have probably done something like that because we live a good portion of our lives like robots. We do actions because we are used to them. We go through the motions. Even when it comes to our "spirituality," there are some of us who pray the same way, day in and day out, with words that don’t have any life in them.

Today, let's take the opportunity to choose to be conscious, present, and aware. Let's choose to be a part of the Light Force, to move from the “me” to the “we,” and to embrace who we are and what it is that we came here to do, understanding that without spiritual fulfillment there is no real life.

Without spiritual fulfillment, life becomes a series of “nexts.” We do the next thing, and the next thing, and the next thing, without any lasting fulfillment. It’s kind of like a bank robber: The reason he robs over and over again is because the robbing brings only a temporary high. The same concept applies to our addictions: We need the next one, and the next one, and the next one, because we can never be truly fulfilled by something that is solely based on the continual satisfaction of our selfish desires.

The Bible says to "choose life for it is good" (Deuteronomy 30:19).

One way to choose life is to at least attempt to concentrate on being rid of our robotic consciousness. Because you know what? The moment that we start to wake ourselves up, is the moment that we can really start to influence the world for the positive.
