We are all parts and sparks of the Creator, and when we live with this consciousness, then whole idea of sharing and caring for another human being takes on a new meaning. How? Consider this: When we care for something or someone else aside from ourselves, we forget one person: ourselves. Oftentimes when we share, the little annoyances that we have going on inside of us simply dissipate as we allow our inner Divine spark to shine out into the world. We may even find ourselves saying, “Oh wow, I did have a headache this morning, didn’t I?” Of course, we have to have love for ourselves in order to extend it outwards. If we don’t know, appreciate, and love who we are, it can be kind of difficult for us to know, appreciate, and love somebody else. But at the same time, we can spend years and years in a psychiatrist’s office to find ourselves and it may or may not help us. It is only when we are really able to touch our Divine Essence by being like the Creator--when we get out of the small box of “me, myself, and I,” that we can connect to that Life-force that binds us with other people and with all of existence. |
