No Victims Here (KB)

When our consciousness is such that we understand that every human being has the Infinite Light of the Creator inside him or her, and that we ourselves, though we may fall, make mistakes, and do bad things, also have that Light inside, then we know with certainty that whatever is before us is something that we ourselves must—and can—deal with.

No saying “he did it” or “they did it.” There are no victims here in this life. When difficulty confronts us, what we actually have is opportunity. Moreover, the higher we ascend on the spiritual ladder, the more challenging the opportunities become.

Take Moses, for example. Can you imagine how he felt knowing that almost the entire congregation didn’t want him as their leader? They accused him of nepotism, of giving preferential treatment to his brother, Aaron. They accused him of pretty much everything and anything you can imagine, and yet we say with our limited perspective “Who could possibly think of Moses in that light?”

Such false accusations were Moses’ challenge to deal with, and he rose to it, understanding that it was just another rung in the spiritual ladder he needed to climb.
