The Power of Knowing Your "Why" (KB)

At one point in the Torah, Moses tries to speak to the Israelites to pass on the Creator’s message, but they are so miserable, so inundated by their own chaos, that they are not able to hear him. Constantly “under the whip,” so to speak, it is very difficult for them to be open and joyful.

Today, too, we are also constantly “under the whip.” We have to produce, to make money, to move forward. There are countless pressures that drive us, internal and external. We cannot remain static; we constantly need to think about where we want and need to be. Yet oftentimes in our thoughts of where we need to be, we fall short of the big picture: WHY we need to be. What are we doing here in this life in the first place? What have we come to change or transform? What are we here to share with the world?

When we understand our "why," then even if we are “under the whip,” we can live in joy, knowing that in spite of the chaos that surrounds us, we are fulfilling a higher plan and purpose.
