Our Challenges (KB)

It can be hard to accept, but when it comes down to it, no one else can overcome our challenges for us. No one else can pull us out of the hole we may find ourselves in. Sure, others can love us, help us, support us, and be there for us. But inevitably, our challenges are specifically tailored to our own tikkun, our own correction process. It would be like asking someone to play our tennis game for us, giving our friend the racquet and saying, "Here, you hit the ball for me." It doesn't work like that in tennis and it doesn't work like that in life.

We need to remember that our specific challenges provide us with the opportunities to move from one spiritual level to another, for Light and dark are parallel and of equal measure. The greater the darkness that is overcome, the greater the Light that will be revealed.

If we have certainty that there is a spark of the Creator within our being, then we need to consistently take responsibility for the only real choice this life offers us: Growth or no growth. Through that choice, we can evolve ourselves forward and reveal more and more of our potential in this world.
